Description
Neodymium (NdFeB) block magnets are high-performance rare earth magnets commonly shaped as rectangles, squares, slabs, or cubes. They are typically specified by three dimensions, with the last dimension indicating the direction of magnetisation (pole-to-pole). For example, a 50x20x3mm block is magnetised along the 3mm axis. These magnets are ideal when strong surface contact and directional pull are required.

Learn More About Neodymium Block Magnets
Neodymium block magnets can be stacked to increase magnetic height, though performance gains eventually plateau. If additional force is required, larger face area magnets should be considered. For maximum clamping force, use opposing magnets in an N-S arrangement or a checkerboard pattern clamped between mild steel surfaces. This setup maximizes pull with minimal leakage. Magnetisation direction is locked into the magnet structure and cannot be changed—custom production is required for different axes. We also offer Neodymium disc, ring, and bar magnets.
