Description
The Alnico Cylindrical Bar range – Models E808, E809 & E810 – deliver compact yet stable magnetic performance using Alnico 5 material, ideal for sensing, switching and educational applications. These straight cylindrical bars are supplied in pairs, operate reliably at elevated temperatures (up to +550 °C) and provide a typical surface field strength around 1200 Gauss (0.12 T).
Key Features
- Alnico 5 magnetic alloy – retains magnetic output at high temperatures up to approximately +550 °C.
- Cylindrical bar geometry with magnetisation along the long axis, supplied in pairs for convenience.
- Compact diameters of 4 mm, 5 mm and 6 mm with a fixed length of 10 mm, making them suitable for space-constrained applications.
- Typical residual surface field of ~1200 Gauss (~0.12 T) at pole faces — sufficient for triggering reed switches and Hall-effect sensors, but not designed for heavy clamping.
- Natural (uncoated) finish for E808–E810 models, offering good corrosion resistance and simplified integration.
