Description
The EM-series magnetic extrusion from Eclipse Magnetics offers a robust magnetic solution formed from strontium ferrite within a thermoplastic binder, extruded into a profile and magnetised on one face. Ideal for applications such as signage retention or enclosure sealing, this flexible magnetic strip provides reliable holding force (up to 65 g/cm²) and can self-mate for secure attachment. With a maximum operating temperature of +80 °C, it delivers performance and flexibility in a compact form.
Key Features
- Strontium ferrite magnetic powder in thermo-plastic binder for consistent magnetic performance.
- Magnetised multipole on one face only — one active face that can mate against itself or ferrous material.
- Pull force rating of up to 65 g per square centimetre in direct contact.
- Maximum continuous operating temperature +80 °C (176 °F) before binder softening risk.
- Available variants: adhesive-backed short length (EM888-R) or plain finish longer length (EM880-R) for flexible installation.
Typical Applications
- Holding signage, nameplates or display panels magnetically in place.
- Magnetic sealing for enclosure doors, shower doors, retail displays or other surfaces requiring removable magnetic closure.
- Self-mating magnetic strip applications where two magnetic faces attract each other directly.
